Rally History
Original 1968 London to Sydney Marathon car, car 24, registration number KAG002.
One of three factory works entries, prepared by Harry Firth.
KAG002 was driven by Ian Vaughan and Jack Ellis (dec), navigator Bob Forsyth. They placed 3rd outright.
The car went one better in the 1993 Re-run, with Ian Vaughan back behind the wheel, partnered by Barry Lake.
The car is on display at Rally Retro day with thanks to the Ford Motor Company and some very special people that worked so hard to make it happen, including Ian Vaughan, John Gowland, Michele Cook and Lindsay Mole.
Their effort is appreciated by all at Rally Retro Day.
It’s very special to see the three KAG’s together for the first time in 50 years!
